I talk to you guys a lot about maturity in your business. And I want to properly articulate exactly what I mean by that. When we start a business, we have a lot of “go, go, go”, high-energy and excitement. It’s like a roller coaster of emotions. And, this is the way I think businesses should be started. This is the way all of my businesses were started.
This is a very normal human brain thing to do, but a lot of people stay in this place for too long. They never put down, what I call, the Chihuahua Energy to transition to a more strategic, Lion Energy. We need this more mature energy to have the ability to problem solve, manage people, and grow!
The business owner with Lion Energy is much more calculated and more willing to slow down so that they can raise the ceiling for their business. This is something that a lot of people aren’t willing to do because it feels uncomfortable to slow down. A lot of people believe that when you slow down to begin making more calculated decisions, you’re going to lose speed or lose revenue.
But, business maturity is having the ability to stop and think on a much deeper level. To think more clearly about the big picture and then to take strategic moves in order to create that.
If you’re in the phase of your business where you still like the Chihuahua Energy, this is what my Three More course is all about. In Three More, we discuss risk-taking, putting yourself out there and more things that take a little “go, go, go” energy. Then, in Thirty More, we see people begin to transition to the Lion Energy. We spend time sitting and writing out everything that needs to be done over the course of the next few years and basing our business plan on what needs to happen for growth.
So, if you’re still in the “go, go, go” energy, that’s great. That’s totally fine. But, at what point is it time to start thinking about scaling? Is it time to start thinking about actually hiring people, getting your life back, getting your energy back, starting to transition into being CEO? If that’s you, check out Thirty More.
